Ness

Ness is a prolific singer, songwriter and producer whose music could be best described as soulful. It's soul and pop and even a little rock. If you've ever heard the theme song for FX's The Shield you've already heard Ness. He performed, produced and wrote the theme music for the show that has already won many awards including The Golden Globe. Ness was born in New York City and is Puerto-Rican and Dominican (and proud) and raised–of all places–in Anchorage, Alaska. "I'd go back and forth from New York to Alaska and it was a bit of a culture shock but ultimately it gave me a different perspective on people of all races and cultures. I kinda think my music represents those experiences and the blending of one culture with the next." Ness has opened up for India Arie and Leela James.

Ness is also an actor that has been seen on CSI Miami and The Shield, amongst others. Ness has just completed the feature film "Hitting the Bricks" where he plays the lead role of "Fuego". Also starring in the film is Texas Battle (Coach Carter). Look out for the video for "More Than This" as it is also part of the soundtrack to the movie.
